As we approach Mother’s Day and Memorial Day please be mindful that these dates may illicit situational anxiety and grief. This can be completely normal. To help alleviate some of the anxieties or nervousness surrounding the date plan what you will do ahead of time. There is no correct way or wrong way to grieve. If you have to keep busy then make specific plans to do just that. However, do take at least 5-10 minutes of quiet time for personal reflection. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to reach out or to tell friends/family what you need to cope. If you have thoughts of self-harm then call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. It may be difficult but you will be okay. Have A Healthy Day!
