A record number of 4th of July Roadtrips planned in 2025…
According to AAA, over 72 million Americans plan to travel more than 50 miles from home this upcoming 4th of July holiday season (Saturday, June 28 to Sunday, July 6). The most noticeable increase is 61.6 million people who plan to take to the road. That is the highest number ever on record that will be taking road trips. If you are one of these drivers, please plan to pay higher gas prices. Seasoned travelers know, that gas prices go up every summer. However, there may be a slightly higher increase due to the recent escalation in the Iran-Israel conflict.
Additionally, it is imperative to make sure your vehicle maintenance is completed in advance. That way if you need to have any repairs, you will know in plenty of time. Also, do not forget to pack an emergency kit. In 2024, AAA responded to almost 700,000 emergency roadside assistance calls.
Interested in getting a Golden Visa?
If you are thinking about living abroad, the golden visa may be worth it. They are not cheap, but something you should consider. Why? Golden visas are a direct way non-citizens can establish legal residency in a specific country through a large investment. In other words, it is a shortcut. According to Thrillist, some of the best golden visa programs today are in Greece, Portugal, Vietnam, New Zealand, Thailand, Panama, and St. Kitts and Nevis. Travel Insurance = YES!
According to the U.S. Travel Insurance Association (USTIA), there has been a 50% spike in travel insurance coverage policies by travelers. As a person who used to not ever use travel insurance, I can promise you it is worth it for peace of mind. Now I will purchase insurance based on how long and where my trip is located. My favorite for international or more expensive trips are the cancellation interruption package. I will use a less expensive option if I am planning a domestic trip. If you need more information or want to purchase trip insurance for an upcoming trip. Please message us directly using the contact link here or at the top of the page.
JetBlue’s New Bag Tracking Features
If you are like me, when flying, my biggest fear is lost luggage. I always play a scenario in my head, what would I do if it happened? Luckily, I have not had to find out and hopefully never will. JetBlue has two new features to help my fellow travelers.
The first is a mobile app feature that gives customers real-time updates on the status of their luggage. The second feature allows each customer to share the location of their Apple AirTag or Find My network accessory placed inside their luggage. With this feature, travelers can securely share their location with the baggage service team. If you would like more information about these new features, check out the full press release here.
